Rispetto alle protesi fisse l'impianto da l'identico risultato senza sacrificare altri denti per realizzare un ponte. Nei confronti della protesi mobile, specialmente se totale, il vantaggio \u00e8 maggiore perch\u00e9 il paziente non ha la sensazione di un corpo estraneo in bocca con le problematiche, anche di natura psicologica.<\/p><p>L'impianto \u00e8 una radice di dente artificiale che sostituisce quella perduta sulla quale si applica una protesi fissa. Questa tecnica pu\u00f2 essere impiegata per la sostituzione di pi\u00f9 denti.<\/p><p>La moderna implantologia si basa sul principio dell' Osteointegrazione, cio\u00e8 l'utilizzo di un materiale biocompatibile, il titanio, che l'organismo riconosce come proprio e si integra perfettamente.<\/p><p>Questa integrazione ossea \u00e8 ottimale e duratura nel tempo. Esistono moltissimi tipi di impianto, delle pi\u00f9 svariate forme e dimensioni, il dentista consiglier\u00e0 il modello e la misura pi\u00f9 idonea per ogni singolo caso, perch\u00e9 \u00e8 strettamente legato alle caratteristiche individuali del paziente, del sito dove si deve intervenire, del tipo di osso per struttura e condizioni anatomiche particolari.<\/p><p>Occorre precisare, tuttavia, che esistono delle condizioni in cui o non conviene o non \u00e8 possibile ricorrere all'implantologia.
